5 years ago today, April 7th 2013 I walked into a job orientation at my first job ever, KFC. I was 16 and nervous. I walked in and saw you sitting at a booth in this super ugly striped shirt, and all I could think is wow I need to help his style out 😆
However, if only I knew what I know now about you. Instantly we became bestfriends, even though I thought you were kind of a stalker with how much you were obsessed with me and always messaged me on Facebook LOL. Years went by and I dated other people and you were always there to comfort me after every heartbreak. You were there to hold me when I cried, and you wanted to hurt anyone that hurt me. I don’t know why I couldn’t see it then, how much I truly loved you. You were such an incredible friend to me and I always looked the other way when it came to taking it to the next level. November 4th 2015, that all changed and you finally became mine. Not just my bestfriend, but my soulmate. I will always remember this day 5 years ago at good ole’ kfc because it brought me you that very same day. I love you so much and can’t believe we have been in eachothers lives for 5 years, that’s crazy! Thank you for being my rock, my partner, my level head, my right hand dude, my everything throughout all of these years. Even though it took me a while to realize that we belonged together — you never gave up. If I could go back, I’d be yours the day I met you, ugly shirt and all 💓💓
I agree with all of this, I don’t do all these things but I do quite a few. Like the walks and journaling are my favorite things to do.

Yes to yoga and fresh air ! I usually ditch my phone most evenings. I love going for walks and getting fresh air as I am in a/c most days for hours. A good walk and writing stuff out always makes me feel better

I really need to start taking more time off of my phone. The only times I do is when I do yoga or I really need to focus on homework.

I took three deep cleansing breaths after I read your reminder and I feel better already. It is so important to be present with our breathing and nothing teaches that better than yoga. My favourite online yoga instructor is Yoga with Adrienne. If you haven’t checked out her YouTube channel yet, I highly recommend it for beginner to pro yogis!

Love these tips! Especially the one about saying no to things that you don’t really enjoy – sometimes you get stuck doing something that you hate just because you were too polite and couldn’t say no, ugh!

Yep, that is always my biggest promise — just gotta keep reminding ourselves it’s okay to say no!

All great suggestions!! I also think purging the house a few times a year is great, anything that isn’t used in the last 18 mo the should go! I agree that drinking plenty of water really calms the mind and body ♡
